If you have an event that can't go ahead on its current advertised date but intend to find a new date that hasn't been confirmed yet, you can postpone it.
However, we recommend only postponing an event if it will likely go ahead in the future, otherwise, it should be cancelled instead (please check out this article to see how).
Please follow the steps below to postpone your event:
- Log into your organiser account and go to your Dashboard.
- Click 'MY EVENTS'.
- Click 'MORE'.
- Click 'POSTPONE EVENT.
- Click 'POSTPONE EVENT' again on the pop-up (this is an irreversible action!)
Please note that customers will be sent an event postponement notification email, which is triggered automatically when an event has been postponed. Information about tickets still being valid is also included in this email. However, if the customer chooses to not wait until the new date is confirmed, they can request a refund.
When you have a new date confirmed, you can change the start and end date of the postponed event - you don't need to create an entire new event (please check out this article for more information). Customers will be sent an event detail change notification with the new date, where at his point customers can request a refund if they can't make the new date.
